Having no time to write up a proper review of this wonderful new Dirtybird release here’s what the folks at wordandsound.de have to say:
At the heart of Revox’s unshakeable groove is a deceptively simple chord sequence. It swells and recedes, climbing octaves then resetting itself, as almost-discernable vocals mutter and twist in the borders. It wouldn’t be a dirtybird track without that glorious dancefloor surprise - an explosion of bells and squirming bass rounds out Revox’s second half, setting the stage perfectly for the original chord’s triumphant return.

Found in Italoboyz mix that we posted a few moments earlier. A real banger from Wagon Repair. Feels a lot like Detroit techno but with funk elements and a chopped up repeating vocal saying “baby, you’re the one”, everything working in harmony towards the climax in this 13 minutes spanning track. Love it!

I’ve posted Andre Crom earlier and I simply love him. If I would be to pick a handful of favorite producers he’d definitely be one of them. This is one of his older productions from the end of 2006. Showing his DMX-like style combined with a really big bass-line and some distorted 303 sounds rising towards the climax. Awesome!

You’ll hear their beloved “Bahia” with “Technologic” vocals around 1h 30m, sounds really nice if you off-set for the rather poor live implemenation. And about 1h 58m you’ll hear what I believe is a new Italoboyz tune, is it just me or does it sound amazingly much like their Victor Casanova and their use of a capellas?

I hope you find the music selection on this blog right on the spot. Whether it’s micro techno, up-beat disco, french electro, or even the casual indie track. This time we found essentially hot new Danger, D.I.M, Moulinex and Fred Falke tracks for you. And even though I try to keep the amount of songs to the minimum and only post the true gems this time I’ll make another exception. Since this is only hot for so long we better hand it over to you sooner than later.
The song was quirky and laid back before and now got remixed by the french folks Danger. Starts out with Amiga inspired sounds and “Divine” vocals as backdrop then everything goes bananas and heads straight for our hearts, and of course the dancefloor.
