At the heart of Revox’s unshakeable groove is a deceptively simple chord sequence. It swells and recedes, climbing octaves then resetting itself, as almost-discernable vocals mutter and twist in the borders. It wouldn’t be a dirtybird track without that glorious dancefloor surprise - an explosion of bells and squirming bass rounds out Revox’s second half, setting the stage perfectly for the original chord’s triumphant return.
